Because of inaccurate information from Reuters news service, an item in Thursday's Business section of The Sun incorrectly reported that the 3-for-2 stock split approved last week by AT&T; Corp. was its first since 1994. The split is AT&T;'s first since 1964.

The Sun regrets the error.
