THE BALTIMORE SUN

Police seized narcotics, firearms and cash last night and arrested three men suspected of supplying drugs to the area around Northwood Shopping Center in Northeast Baltimore.

Sgt. William Sekinger, head of the Northeastern District drug enforcement unit, said two suspects were arrested in a car that was stopped by police at Cold Spring Lane and Marble Hall Road about 8 p.m. The third suspect was arrested later in a house in the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road.

Sekinger said the arrests followed a two-month surveillance of two suspected drug stash houses in the 4500 and 4600 blocks of Marble Hall Road.

Sekinger said officers seized $200,000 worth of suspected crack cocaine; $10,000; a loaded machine pistol; a .38-caliber revolver; a Navy flare gun; drug packaging material and the car.

Sekinger said Brian Covell, 32, of the 5500 block of Midwood Ave.; Antoine Downes, 26, of the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road and Douglas Holmes Jr., 25, of the 4600 block of Marble Hall Road were processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.
