In some editions yesterday, The Sun misidentified Del. Cheryl C. Kagan and incorrectly reported that she had commissioned a 1995 audit of the Maryland State Police's criminal background check system. Kagan was citing one of the reports legislative auditors periodically present to the General Assembly. The report, issued in 1998, included information from 1995.
