Three Maryland groups that aid victims of domestic violence have received grants from Philip Morris Cos. Inc. to fund counseling, shelter and education programs.
The Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County will receive $7,500 to fund outreach and advocacy services for 500 domestic violence victims.
The Domestic Violence Center of Howard County will receive $4,500 to pay for the salary of a Spanish-speaking community educator and to reimburse shelter staff for transportation expenses.
The Life Crisis Center in Salisbury will get $14,000 to install a fire-prevention sprinkler system in a shelter for domestic violence victims.
