Top-ranked Loyola scored 58 seconds into the game and held Fairfield scoreless for the opening 31: 56, as the Greyhounds won their 13th consecutive regular-season game, 19-4, in men's lacrosse at Curley Field.
Gewas Schindler had four goals and Matt Hanna contributed three. Schindler had three goals in the second period as Loyola (3-0) built an 11-0 lead by halftime.
The Greyhounds outshot Fairfield (3-2), 46-25, but won only nine of 26 faceoffs.
Salisbury State 21, Mary Washington 6: Brian Smith (five goals, three assists) and Peter Troup (three goals, four assists) combined for eight goals and seven assists as the host Sea Gulls (6-0, 4-0) won their 20th straight Capital Athletic Conference game.
Salisbury used goals by eight different players to lead 9-2 after one quarter.
Villa Julie 10, Swarthmore 9, OT: Rob Ruff's goal with 1: 03 remaining in overtime gave the visiting Mustangs (2-3) a nonconference win.
The Garnet Tide (0-4) forced the extra period with two goals over the final 4: 26.
The Mustangs jumped to a 4-0 lead but the Garnet Tide battled back with five straight goals to take a 6-5 advantage with 7: 30 left in the third.
Women
Towson 18, Hofstra 8: Nicki Popolano scored a career-high six goals and had an assist in the Tigers' first win of the season. Towson (1-2) never trailed, as Popolano scored 1: 09 into the game and assisted on the Tigers' second goal, by Amie Rose.
Jen Sturm also had a career-high four goals for Towson.
Loyola 7, Brown 3: The Greyhounds (1-1) extended a one-goal lead at halftime with three second-half goals on the way to victory in Providence, R.I.
Danielle Battersby had three goals for Loyola, which twice overcame first-half deficits to lead 4-3 at halftime.
