The residents of six homes in the Hillendale section of Baltimore County were evacuated for about 2 1/2 hours last evening while a natural gas leak was repaired.

A county Fire Department spokesman said the leak was reported about 5: 30 p.m. and residents of 1201 to 1211 Linkside Drive near Taylor Avenue were evacuated while Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. crews dug up the street, located and repaired the leak in a 10-inch main.
