Tar Heels top Denver with rally in 2nd half; UNC scores 5 goals in row to notch 7-4 victory

North Carolina needed five late goals to defeat host Denver, 7-4, yesterday in a men's lacrosse game.

Chase Martin had a goal and two assists for the 11th-ranked Tar Heels (4-2), who trailed 3-2 midway through the third period before getting five goals from as many players to lead 7-3 with 6: 25 left in the game.

Salisbury State 13, Springfield 6: Chris Turner, Peter Troup and Tim Parks each scored three goals as the Sea Gulls (4-0), tied with Washington College for the No. 1 ranking in Division III, won their 18th consecutive home game. Turner also had three assists.

Turner, Troup and Parks had two goals apiece in the first half as Salisbury led 7-3 at halftime.
