An 8-year-old boy who was reported missing Friday after failing to walk to his aunt's house after school was discovered safe yesterday with his mother.

Police had mounted an extensive search overnight for Antoine Emmanuel Scott, who had been living with his aunt, Ida Scott, in the 3200 block of The Alameda in Northeast Baltimore. Officers canvassed the neighborhood, and police dogs searched Montebello Elementary School.

Yesterday afternoon, Antoine was found at his mother's house on Rutland Avenue in East Baltimore, said his grandmother, Helen Scott. "These police did a beautiful job," she said.
