The Yak has some news on Furby, this winter's favorite furry creature:

* Tiger Electronics, the company that produces Furby, is making a spring edition. The company also will make limited editions (sort of like Beanies) three or four times a year.

* There are 80 different collectible critters for the spring promotion.

* Look for Furby this month in Happy Meals at McDonald's. The Yak got a sneak peak at the mini-plastic toys. They don't speak Furbish and they aren't furry but they are cute.

* Fans can look forward to expanding their collections with Furby Babies. Plus, there are Furby games to come, clothes and accessories and even Furby Halloween costumes.
