Episcopal agency plans Sykesville headquarters

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Episcopal Ministries for the Aging, parent company of Fairhaven Retirement Community and Copper Ridge nursing center, plans to build its $3.5 million headquarters in Sykesville.

The company has asked the town to rezone for business use about 4 acres of residential property on Central Avenue, near Fairhaven. Plans call for a 20,000-square-foot office building.

"We are very excited they chose Sykesville," said Matthew H. Candland, town manager. "This is a great opportunity for the town."
