The senior All-Star wrestling classic, sponsored by the Maryland State Wrestling Association, will be held at River Hill High in Clarksville tomorrow at 7 p.m.
The event is a triangular meet pitting the highest-placing seniors from each of the private school and public school 1A-2A and 3A-4A state tournaments.
Slated to wrestle for the private schools are Calvert Hall state champs Chris Knox (112), Derek Michaloski (119) and Tony Russo (140-145), along with Gilman's two-time state champ and two-time National Preps runner-up Damien Davis (189) and DeMatha's two-time National Preps champs Drew Robertson (140-145) and Wes Cummings (171).
Archbishop Curley's state champs Shawn Calhoun (140) and Paul Boettcher (152), along with Mount St. Joseph's state champ Bryan McDermott (135), also are slated to wrestle.
For the 3A-4A squad, Westminster's Kyle Burger (135), Arundel's Jeff Blachly (heavyweight), Aberdeen's Matt Kunkel (189), Calvert's Scott McAdoo (160), Sherwood's Anthony Gigliotti (140) and Damascus' Nick O'Gwin (125) are slated to participate.
Franklin's Scott Delpo, whose Indians won the program's first state title over the weekend, will be coach of 1A-2A team, whose lineup will include two-time state champ Zane Harshman (160 pounds, Middletown) along with one-time champs Nick Alley (112, Southern-AA), Chris Kehne (135, Walkersville) and Jared Myers (171, Williamsport).
Delpo's assistants are Scott Stough of Northern of Garrett and Chuck Martin of Williamsport.
Coaching the independent school team is Curley's Alan Gebhart, with assistants Mark Harbold of Gilman and Elkridge resident Dick Messier of six-time National Preps champ DeMatha.
Coach of the 3A-4A is Bowie's Mark Stevens, with Glen Burnie's Jay Braunstein and Paint Branch's Rick Smith as assistants.
