Richard "Lee" Braach, 44, president of the longshore union in Tacoma, Wash., and a major player in West Coast port labor matters, died Saturday after he collapsed outside his hotel while on business in Frankfurt, Germany.

Enneus Heerma, 54, who steered the Dutch Christian Democrat Alliance party after its first general election defeat in 1994, died Monday of cancer in Amsterdam.

Laban Johnson, 56, host of the nationally syndicated "Cookin' Cheap" television show, was found dead Tuesday at his Roanoke, Va., apartment. Mr. Johnson had diabetes and heart disease.

The Rev. W. Frank Harrington, 63, the leader of Peachtree Presbyterian, North America's largest congregation in the Presbyterian Church USA, died of cardiorespiratory failure in Atlanta on Wednesday.
