Mount Airy: Firefighters responded at 4: 48 a.m. yesterday to wires down in the 6600 block of Buffalo Road. Units were out 14 minutes.

Winfield: Firefighters responded at 3: 30 a.m. yesterday to a pole fire at Route 27 and Gilbert Road. Units were out 45 minutes.

Mount Airy: Firefighters from Mount Airy, Winfield and Lisbon in Howard County responded at 3: 09 a.m. yesterday to a house fire in the 5400 block of Cabbage Spring Road. Units were out 37 minutes.

Mount Airy: Firefighters assisted Frederick County at 12: 01 a.m. yesterday, responding to a building fire in the first block of W. Main St., New Market. Units were out 2 1/2 hours.

Mount Airy: Firefighters responded at 8: 46 p.m. Wednesday to wires down at Glissons Mill and Woodville roads. Units were out 47 minutes.

Mount Airy: Firefighters responded at 8: 25 p.m. Wednesday to wires down at Jessie Smith and Woodville roads. Units were out 27 minutes.

Mount Airy: Firefighters responded at 8: 15 p.m. Wednesday to wires down in the 13000 block of Old Annapolis Road. Units were out 23 minutes.

Mount Airy: Firefighters responded at 8: 06 p.m. Wednesday to wires down at Route 144 and Sydney Road. Units were out 50 minutes.
