The Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department named Suzannah Warehime firefighter of the year for 1998 at its installation banquet.
Warhime, who has been active in the fire company for three years, is a firefighter, emergency medical technician, intravenous technician and emergency vehicle operator. She is certified in farm accident rescue and basic trauma life support.
Administrative officers for 1999 are Linas Saurusaitis, president; Tom Ecker, first vice president; Jack Stone, second vice president; Marianne Warehime, secretary, and Trena Hossler, assistant; Suzannah Warehime, financial secretary; Lynne Warner, treasurer, and Harry Fourhman, assistant.
Trustees are Levere Kopp, Doug Dorer, Eric Fourhman, John Tawes and Matt Warehime. Executive committee members are Dave Green and Marianne Warehime.
Chaplain is Dave Dickmyer, and historian is James Buckley.
Line officers are R. Shawn Utz, fire chief; Joe D'Antoni, first assistant fire chief; Jack Stone, second assistant chief; Randy Fuhrman, captain; Russell Phillips, first lieutenant; Doug Dorer, second lieutenant; and Will Caudill, third lieutenant.
Emergency medical services officers are: Tim Warehime, captain; John Haney, first lieutenant; Matt Warehime, second lieutenant; Park Armacost, third lieutenant; and Suzannah Warehime, fourth lieutenant.

Hampstead: Firefighters from Hampstead and Manchester responded at 3: 55 a.m. yesterday to wires down in the 1600 block of St. Paul St. Units were out 28 minutes.
Hampstead: Firefighters from Hampstead, Manchester and Arcadia in Baltimore County responded at 7: 53 p.m. Wednesday to a house fire in the 1000 block of Highfield Drive. Units were out 12 minutes.
