THE BALTIMORE SUN

An article in yesterday's Howard County edition of The Sun misstated concerns about a proposed zoning amendment. County planners are worried that designating 30 percent of open-space areas in mixed-use developments for active recreation could take land from environmental buffers and forest-conservation areas. The story incorrectly implied that planners believed the amendment would make it too difficult for developers to realize a profit.

The Sun regrets the error.
