'The Wizard of Oz'
Follow the yellow brick road to the National Theatre in Washington when the classic "The Wizard of Oz" comes alive on stage for three weeks -- today through March 14. Starring legendary Broadway and film actor Mickey Rooney as the great and powerful Wizard of Oz, the musical is a 90-minute adaptation of the 1939 motion picture.
The theater is at 1321 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. Times for the show, which runs through March 14, are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; also 2 p.m. Wednesday; noon and 4 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. Sunday. There is no 7 p.m. performance March 14. Tickets are $25-$56.50. Call 800-447-7400.
Antiquarian Book Show
Look for rare, out-of-print and collectible books Saturday at the 14th annual Antiquarian Book Show at the University of Delaware's Wilmington campus. Booksellers from seven states will display thousands of books on a variety of subjects, including Americana, children's mysteries, literature, the Civil War, military, travel, cooking, photography, natural history, Native Americans and architecture. Maps, prints and old photographs also will be offered.
The show is at the Arsht Hall Conference Center, 2700 Pennsylvania Ave., 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $4.50 . Call 302-655-3055.
