A Frederick County grand jury yesterday indicted a Mount Airy man on a single count of first-degree murder in the Jan. 18 strangulation of his wife, whose body was found almost three weeks later in a car at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
Donald Wayne Holt, 44, a scientific editor for the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, has been held without bail at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center since his arrest Feb. 7, said County State's Attorney Scott L. Rolle.
The couple lived in the 1000 block of Meadowgreen Drive in the Twin Ridge subdivision of Mount Airy, a town that straddles Carroll and Frederick counties.
Nancy Adams Holt, 43, a mother of three who worked at the Health Care Finance Administration in Woodlawn, was reported missing Jan. 20, when a concerned out-of-state friend called police.
Her body was found Feb. 7 on the rear floor of her car, parked in a satellite lot at the airport.
The children -- 11-year-old twins and a 9-year-old -- are with relatives.
