Jimmy Fields made two three-pointers to bring Morgan State within 60-59 with 1: 33 remaining. Bethune-Cookman's Freddie Cole sank two free throws before the Bears tied the game at 62 on Rasheed Sparks' three-pointer with 1: 08 remaining.
Curtis King led Morgan State with 20 points. Fields scored 12 and Sparks added 10.
Coppin State (12-13, 11-4 MEAC) led 35-24 at halftime and never let Florida A&M; closer than eight points in the second half. The Eagles have won 10 of 11 games since ending a five-game skid.
Kevin George led the Rattlers (7-16, 7-9) with 19 points and Monroe Pippins added 18 before fouling out with 5: 49 remaining.
Frostburg State 85, Villa Julie 74: Rob Ayers and Alan Moore scored 17 each, and the Bobcats (10-12) overcame a sluggish second half to defeat the visiting Mustangs (4-20).
UMBC 68, Central Connecticut State 57: Senior center Monica Logan had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lift the host Retrievers in a Northeast Conference game.
UMBC (12-12, 10-8) trailed by 12 points with 16: 20 remaining but got back in the game with a 9-0 run to close to 40-37 with 13: 11 left.
The game was deadlocked at 50 with 6: 38 remaining after the Blue Devils' Tamika Knight converted a layup, but Logan scored the next six points to begin a decisive 14-4 run that gave UMBC a 64-54 lead.
The Blue Devils (10-14, 7-11) were led by Dianne Warner's 16 points and Mary Maciulewski's 15.
Logan, the nation's leading rebounder, also had five steals and four blocks in 40 minutes. UMBC freshmen Jami Lange (16) and Sheila Johnson (15) combined for 21 second-half points.
N.C. State 86, Maryland 53: Summer Erb and Tynesha Lewis shared scoring honors at 21 to power the Wolfpack (15-9, 8-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) past the Terps (5-19, 2-12) in Raleigh, N.C.
The Wolfpack shot 59.4 percent in the first half to the Terps' 23.1 to take a 32-16 lead. Kelley Gibson and Branka Bogunovic each scored 14 for Maryland.
Loyola 66, Marist 53: After trailing by seven at the break, the Greyhounds (18-6, 11-5) shot 48.9 percent to the host Red Foxes' 38.8 to decide the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association game in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Jina Mosley led Loyola with 15 points and Mary Anne Kirsch added 13.
Florida A&M; 74, Coppin State 61: Teresa Jenkins' double double (27 points, 16 rebounds) powered the Rattlers (14-9, 12-3 MEAC) past the Eagles (11-12, 9-6) in Tallahassee, Fla.
Liesha Mitchell led Coppin State with 21 points and Trisha Allen added 16.
Coppin's Kiesha Brooks, averaging 17.7 points, was held to a season-low five.
Morgan State 69, Bethune-Cookman 57: Monique Lidell (20), Shakira Smith (10) and Clarissa Elam (10) combined to score 40 points as the Bears (9-14, 7-8 MEAC) defeated the Wildcats (4-19, 3-13) in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Jaymie Woodard led Bethune-Cookman with 15.
