Police seek man who raped Crownsville woman

State police were searching yesterday for a man who broke into a single-family cottage on the grounds of Crownsville Hospital Center and raped a 52-year-old female resident.

The man entered the cottage between 11: 30 p.m. Saturday and 1: 30 a.m. yesterday, police said. He stole clothing and property, which police declined to describe. They also refused to say how the man entered the dwelling.

Investigators believe the suspect was driving a gray BMW with "A" and "M" on the Maryland license plates.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at the Annapolis barracks, 410-268-6101.
