Suspicious death: Homicide detectives were investigating the discovery of the partially buried body of an unidentified young woman in Leakin Park. The body, found by a passer-by in woods about 100 feet off the 4400 block of Franklintown Road, was taken to the medical examiner's office.
Robbery/arrest: A man robbed State Supply Co. of more than $100 at gunpoint about 12: 35 p.m. yesterday, and a suspect was arrested less than a minute later by two city police officers. Sgt. Michael Kain and Officer Gregory Young were walking toward the robbery scene in the 1200 block of Harford Ave. when they spotted a man fitting the gunman's description. They recovered $107 and a starter pistol. Charged with armed robbery and processed at the Central Booking and Intake Center was Claudie West, 26, of no fixed address.
Drug arrests: Officers from the district's Drug Enforcement Unit raided three houses yesterday afternoon and arrested nine people, seizing nearly $4,000 and marijuana, cocaine and heroin. Lt. Richard James said the raids in the 100 block of N. Curley St. and 3100 block of McElderry St. occurred after recent drug purchases by undercover officers and complaints by residents of the Ellwood Park neighborhood.
Burglary: A four-piece bedroom set, 25-inch television, cordless telephone and an entertainment center, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 800 block of Seagull Ave. on Monday by someone who entered through a window.
White Marsh Precinct
Robbery/arrests: A man and a girl, 16, suspected of stealing a woman's purse in the county were arrested Monday night when a 1994 Jeep Cherokee in which they were fleeing police struck a tree on Bagley Avenue in Northeast Baltimore. County police said the victim was robbed about 8 p.m. as she walked toward her car outside a store in the 4100 block of Wholesale Club Road in White Marsh. Charged with robbery and theft and held at the county Detention Center was Ryan J. Falter, 19, of the 800 block of Lancaster Drive in Bel Air, Harford County. The girl was charged as a juvenile and released to her parents' custody.
Burglary: Someone entered several stores at White Marsh Mall in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Blvd. through rear doors off a service hallway Sunday night or Monday morning and stole an undisclosed sum of money.
Robbery: A man, who implied he was armed, robbed an elderly female resident of the 4000 block of Klausmier Road of her purse and a small sum of money about 4: 30 p.m. Monday. The woman had allowed him into her home when he asked to use the telephone.
