National program awards county $18,728 shelter grant
Carroll County has been selected by the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program to receive $18,728 to provide shelter, food and supportive services to the homeless and hungry.
The Carroll County Circle of Caring has funds available to qualified agencies that assist the needy in daily living requirements.
The circle of caring is responsible for establishing priorities among community needs, allocating money to emergency food and shelter providers, and assisting with program compliance.

The deadline for applications for funds is Feb. 25.
