8 Free throws awarded to Washington after a foul by UCLA's Baron Davis led to a technical foul against Davis and two against Bruins coach Steve Lavin. The Huskies converted five and went on to a 93-83 win Sunday.

11 Field goals attempted and made by Rutgers forward Rob Hodgson against West Virginia in Sunday's 87-61 victory. Included in that figure were six three-pointers. Hodgson also made all three of his free-throw attempts for 31 total points.

32 The free-throw attempt differential (43-11) between Stanford and Arizona State in Saturday's game in Tempe. The Cardinal made 31 to six for the Sun Devils in a 73-63 victory.

12-1 Oklahoma coach Kelvin Sampson's record against schools from the state of Texas this season after Wednesday's 59-58 win at Baylor.

Teams on the way up:

Fresno State: The Bulldogs have won seven of their past nine, including last night's win over San Jose State, to get to 16-7 overall and climb back onto the NCAA tournament bubble.

Monmouth: After starting the season with 19 straight defeats, the Hawks defeated Wagner, 66-61, Monday and extended its winning streak to two with last night's 75-71 victory over Mount St. Mary's.

Teams on the way down

Providence: After a hot start under new coach Tim Welsh, the Friars have dropped three of their last four to fall to 14-8 overall, 7-5 in the Big East.

Boston University: After averaging more than 19 wins a season during his first four seasons, Dennis Woolf's Terriers have struggled this season, dropping to 7-12 overall and 3-8 in America East. Joey Beard has been missed more than most thought.
