All-Metro Defensive Player of the Year Felix Isuk, who led the No. 1 Gilman football team to the school's first 10-0 season, will attend Harvard, Greyhounds coach Biff Poggi said yesterday.
Isuk, a two-time All-Metro choice and a preseason All-American in several publications, had 13 sacks for the Greyhounds, who were No. 1 in The Sun from the season's beginning to end. A consensus All-State pick by Association Press, Isuk turned down Princeton and full scholarship offers from Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Duke and Virginia.
A 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker who runs a 4.6-second 40-yard dash, Isuk also is an indoor and outdoor track champion shot putter in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Isuk has a 3.6 grade point average and a 1,200 SAT score.
Andrew Michalowicz of Mount St. Joseph, a three-year starting quarterback, signed a national letter of intent yesterday to attend the U.S. Naval Academy. Michalowicz, a 6-2, 220-pound three-year starter, chose Navy over several other programs.
Severna Park graduate Bryce Erbe, a tight end who helped lead Hargrave Academy to a 10-0 record last season, has signed with Kent State. Erbe was named most improved lineman at Severna Park after his senior season.
