Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Armed robbery: A cabdriver was threatened with a metal pipe and robbed of $20 yesterday in the 900 block of N. Madeira St.

Larceny: Twenty dollars was taken from a gas station in the 1900 block of Orleans St. yesterday morning.

Northwest District

Aggravated assault: A 47-year-old man was drinking with a friend in his house yesterday when an argument broke out. The man's friend slashed him on the cheek and nostril before running away.

Breaking and entering: Someone forced open the basement door to a home in the 4200 block of Elderon Ave. yesterday morning, made his way to a second-story bedroom and stole a videocassette recorder, cordless telephone and 13-inch television.

Attempted car theft: A resident of the 6500 block of Hopeton Ave. found the doors unlocked and the ignition popped of his 1985 blue, four-door Chevrolet yesterday.

Southwest District

Theft: A .380-caliber handgun was taken from a jacket left in the manager's office of a restaurant in the 1400 block of Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

Burglary: Someone pried open the basement window of a house in the 2100 block of Harmon Ave. on Sunday and stole a stereo and compact disc player worth $300.

Armed robbery: A 36-year-old man was riding his bike in the 2800 block of Presstman St. on Saturday night when two men approached him. One pulled a handgun and the pair took the bike, an undisclosed sum of money and a pair of tennis shoes.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone pried open a door and entered an apartment in the 3100 block of Woodford Place between 5: 30 p.m. and 9: 19 p.m. Saturday. The intruder took a microwave oven.

Burglary: A man entered an apartment in the 6800 block of Dogwood Road at 12: 30 a.m. Saturday. The occupant awoke to find the intruder standing over him. He chased the intruder away. Nothing was taken.

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 7100 block of Rolling Bend Road between 4 p.m. Friday and 1: 30 a.m. Saturday. The intruder took $100 in coins from a bedroom table.
