A two-alarm fire seriously damaged the upper floors of an old three-story mansion yesterday in Northeast Baltimore, said a Fire Department spokesman.
Battalion Chief Hector L. Torres said the fire at a former school for the handicapped in the 2200 block of Erdman Ave. was reported at 1: 55 p.m.
A second alarm was sounded at 2: 06 p.m., and the fire was brought under control at 2: 31 p.m., Torres said.
No one was injured. The cause was being investigated.
