Howard County Police Chief Wayne Livesay has announced eight department promotions.

Capt. Jeff Spaulding was promoted to major; Lt. Bill McKeldin became a captain; Sgt. Tara Nelson rose to lieutenant; Cpls. Paul Steppe and Bob Wagner were promoted to sergeant; and Pfcs. Glenn Case, Matt Robine and Don Wyant advanced to corporal.
