Fire company installs 1999 officers at banquet


The Gamber and Community Fire Company installed officers for 1999 at its annual banquet Jan. 9.

Administrative officers are Calvin Brothers, president; Robert Klinefelter, first vice president; Clayton Myers Jr., second vice president; Christine Green, recording secretary; Jeannie Green, corresponding secretary; Dennis Brothers, treasurer; Michael Sullivan, sergeant-at-arms.

Members of the board of directors are Richard Green Sr., Edward Yingling, Clifford Yeager, John Warner, Robert Weishaar.

Line officers are J. Ronald Green, fire chief; Richard Green Sr., first assistant chief; Brendan Gable, second assistant chief; Dennis Brothers, captain; Thomas Flater, lieutenant 13-1; Shawn Chenoweth, lieutenant 13-2 and dive team leader; Todd Leppert, lieutenant 13-3; Curtis Brothers, lieutenant 13-4; John Warner, lieutenant 13-5; Mark McKinney, lieutenant 13-6 and dive/rescue assistant; Charles Doyle, engineer; Clayton Myers Jr., public information officer.

Emergency medical services officers are Daniel Jones, captain; Kevin Lentzner, lieutenant 13-1; Jeffrey Leppert, lieutenant 13-2; Robin Chenoweth, lieutenant 13-3.

Auxiliary officers are Jeannie Green, president; Belle Stickles, vice president; Susan Sullivan, secretary; Betty Arnold, treasurer; Bridget Timberman, financial secretary; Virginia Day, chaplain; Sandy Mertz, historian; Jack and Letha Palmer, purchasing agent.

Junior fire company officers are Brandon Thompson, president; Stephen Riddle, vice president; Chad Reese, captain; Michael Green, lieutenant.


Sykesville: Firefighters responded at 10: 33 p.m. Thursday to wires on fire in the 1300 block of Terrace Court. Units were out 11 minutes.
