An Associated Press article in Friday's editions reported that Human Rights Watch said Mexican judges, prosecutors and law-enforcement officers collude to torture suspects, illegally obtain evidence and block investigations into human rights violations.

The report by Human Rights Watch did not say that judges collude in those acts. The group said that by failing to question evidence obtained through torture, judges become complicit in the abuse.

The Sun regrets the errors.
