The week ahead
Schedule N.C. State at Cole Field House, Sunday, 1: 30 p.m. at No. 11 North Carolina, Jan. 13, 9 p.m.
What to look for
The Tar Heels, who beat Florida State last night, will have a full week to prepare for the Terps. North Carolina has too much talent around point guard Ed Cota not to give Maryland fits at the Smith Center.
What's at stake N.C. State has one quality win. The North Carolina game should be Maryland's toughest until its second shot at Duke on Feb. 3, and the winner figures to get the early line on second place in the ACC. The Terps will be severely tested in their third game in seven days. Pub Date: 1/08/99
