Bethlehem Steel appoints Wirick at Sparrows Point
Bethlehem Steel Corp. appointed David P. Wirick to be manager of quality, technology and logistics for its Sparrows Point division.
He had been manager of the rolling mills at the company's Pennsylvania Steel Technologies in the Steelton, Pa., plant.
An engineering graduate of Grove City College, he also holds a master's degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh and is active in several professional organizations, including the American Iron & Steel Engineers and the American Society of Metals.
Payne is sales director for Sheraton Inner Harbor
Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel selected Chuck Payne as director of sales and marketing.
He will oversee corporate, leisure and group room sales and catering.
The 18-year hospitality industry veteran is a graduate of the State University of New York and was formerly with Marriott Hunt Valley Inn.
Miller Group names Brody as vice president
The Miller Group has selected Meghan Grant Brody as vice president of the Towson ad and public relations agency.
Her responsibilities will include account service supervision, media management and new business development.
A Cockeysville resident, she is a graduate of Western Maryland College and is active with the Children's House at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Doub joins Baltimore office of Semmes, Bowen, Semmes
Semmes, Bowen & Semmes announced that George C. Doub III has joined the regional law firm as counsel in its Baltimore office.
Doub will focus on U.S. and international business law, specializing in transportation, admiralty and maritime law in the maritime and commerce practice.
Prior to coming to Semmes, he was general counsel for Hyundai Merchant Marine (America) Inc.
A law graduate of the University of Baltimore, Doub is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed master and is a licensed U.S. Customs broker.
Sokolowski is selected vice president of finance
The Association of Maryland Hospitals and Health Systems has selected Paul A. Sokolowski as vice president of finance.
The University of Notre Dame and Loyola MBA graduate was formerly vice president and chief financial officer for Union Memorial Hospital.
He is a certified public account and lives in Phoenix.
Morrissey named consultant on Ellin & Tucker staff
Ellin & Tucker, a Baltimore-Washington accounting and consulting firm, appointed James W. Morrissey to the staff as a consultant.
A certified public accountant, he was most recently in private practice and had been with Maryland National Bank.
An MBA graduate of Indiana University, the Towson resident is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.
He serves on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Continuing Studies and is an instructor in several professional organizations, including the Maryland Institute of Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.

Wright is lending officer for Susquehanna Bank
Susquehanna Bank has chosen Elizabeth A. Wright as executive vice president and chief lending officer.
She is active with and serves on the board of the Neighborhood Housing Service and was formerly responsible for commercial and real estate lending at First Mariner Bank.
