To show students that doing well can bring them recognition, the Citizens Advisory Committee of Quarterfield Elementary School has asked The Sun to help publicize its Student of the Week. Winners of the honor must write about themselves.

My name is Allen Yackiel. I am a fifth-grader at Quarterfield Elementary. I am 11 and have one dog and two parakeets. Some of my hobbies are playing PlayStation and I have a computer-animated dog. I also enjoy playing basketball. In my family I am the middle child. I am in Boy Scouts. I play the drum in the school band.
