Shooting/arrest: A woman, 25, was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after she was shot in the abdomen during an argument with a man about 6 a.m. yesterday in an alley in the 700 block of Reservoir St. in Reservoir Hill. Police responding to a report of someone shot saw a man run from the alley and arrested him a short distance away. Near the scene, police recovered a .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun they believe was used in the shooting. Joe Washington, 18, of the 2300 block of Callow Ave., also in Reservoir Hill, was charged with attempted murder, use of a handgun in the commission of a felony and related offenses. He was processed at the Central Booking and Intake Center.
Vandalism: Windows in five vehicles, including a pickup truck, parked in the 1300 block of Church St. were smashed Christmas Eve. No property was reported missing from the vehicles and damage was set at several hundred dollars.
Vandalism: A side rear window of a 1995 Plymouth parked in the 4400 block of Fairhaven Ave. was shattered Christmas Eve. It was not known if the incident was related to vehicle windows broken on nearby Church Street the same day.
Burglary: Two gold necklaces and a videocassette recorder, all valued at nearly $800, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 1900 block of N. Forest Park Ave.
Theft: A man stole more than a dozen cologne gift sets, valued at more than $60, Sunday from the Rite Aid store in Edmondson Village Shopping Center in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave.
Robbery: A woman, 21, was in the 2500 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway about 6 p.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed her of several pieces of clothing and other property, all valued at more than $150.
Robbery: A Royal Cab driver was stopped at a traffic light at Gwynns Falls Parkway and North Longwood Street about 8 p.m. Sunday when a gunman approached and robbed him of nearly $90.
Robbery: A man, 38, was walking in the 400 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. about 10: 30 p.m. Sunday when several men, one with a handgun, robbed him of his wallet, a small sum of money and a baseball cap.
Theft: Two pairs of shoes, a pair of gloves and two tam-style hats, all valued at more than $200, were stolen Sunday from a car parked in the 1100 block of E. Monument St.
Theft: Queen-size bed sheets valued at $15 were stolen Sunday from Family Dollar store in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave. A woman was charged with theft in the incident and released when she produced identification.
Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Sunday when he tried to leave CVS pharmacy in the 3200 block of York Road without paying for eight packs of soap, a bottle of body wash and deodorant, all valued at nearly $55.
Theft from vehicle: Military documents, a pager, a leather coat and identification papers and cards, were stolen Sunday from a 1981 Ford parked in the first block of E. 21st St.
Theft: Property valued at nearly $400 was stolen Sunday from a 1987 Mazda parked in the 3400 block of Old York Road.
Stolen vehicle: A 1990 Buick with tags YDT 044 was stolen in the 3000 block of Crittendon Place between Thursday and Sunday.
Burglary: Someone broke the front window of the Royal Farm store in the 1600 block of W. Joppa Road about 3 a.m. Sunday, went inside and stole several cartons of cigarettes of unknown value.
