A Baltimore man, 37, was shot and killed at 6: 16 p.m. during an apparent robbery in the 1000 block of Edmondson Ave., city police reported -- the 309th homicide of the year.

The victim, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives, was found shot to death in an alley near Arlington Avenue, said Detective Gordon Carew. The man is believed to have lived in the area.
