A Pennsylvania man died yesterday in Manchester after his GMC pickup truck crossed the center line on Route 30 and collided with a flatbed truck loaded with plasterboard, state police said.

According to police, the flatbed truck, driven by Phillip B. Shoff, 29, of Holtwood, Pa., was traveling north near Michelle Road when the southbound pickup, driven by Matthew D. Riccio, 55, of Altoona, Pa., crossed the center line. Shoff swerved to the east shoulder, but was unable to avoid being struck by the pickup, police said.

Shoff and a passenger, Jeffrey S. Books, 19, of Nottingham, Pa., were not injured, police said.
