A Hanover woman died last week from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 1 near Mission Road in Jessup.
Howard County police said Janet Fultz, 37, of the 7100 block of Ohio Ave. died early Friday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she had been in critical condition since the accident Thursday night.
Fultz was a passenger in a 1985 Oldsmobile 98 that was trying to make a U-turn onto northbound U.S. 1 north of Mission Road about 7 p.m., police said.
While making the U-turn, the driver of the car, Darwin Woodworth, 33, of the 8600 block of Pine Tree Drive in Jessup, failed to yield the right of way to a 1987 Dodge Caravan that was traveling north on U.S. 1, police said.
The driver of the Caravan, Thomas Perrera, 53, of the 45200 block of Take It Easy Road in Callaway, St. Mary's County, and a passenger, 55-year-old Jerry Hartlove of the 2400 block of Christian St. in Baltimore, were taken to Shock Trauma, where they were treated and released.
Police said the accident is under investigation.
