Running backs
Despite the Bears having the No. 22 rushing defense in the league, Priest Holmes was not a factor as the Ravens fell behind early. Fullback Roosevelt Potts had a solid day blocking, but he didn't play a vital role because of the early deficit. -- C-
Quarterback
For some reason, Jim Harbaugh had trouble getting the exchange from center Jeff Mitchell. Also, Chicago's big lead forced Harbaugh to try to make big plays, and that is not his forte. -- D+
Receivers
Floyd Turner had a decent day and Michael Jackson was involved in the offense even though he dropped two passes. Tight end Eric Green, bothered by a knee injury, hasn't been much of a factor in the season's second half. -- C
Offensive linemen
The group did OK despite missing three starters. Chicago did a nice job with an array of blitzes that confused the line on third downs. Right tackle Spencer Folau has to do a better job of stepping play-side and cutting off penetration. -- D+
Defensive linemen
Tackles Larry Webster and James Jones played well, but ends Michael McCrary and Rob Burnett were mediocre against the run. The line didn't get much of a pass rush and at times failed to control the gaps. -- D
Linebackers
Middle linebacker Ray Lewis turned in a strong performance and refused to quit when some of his teammates had given up. Strong-side linebacker Peter Boulware had a decent game, but the Ravens haven't gotten much production from their weak-side guys the past two weeks. -- C-
Defensive backs
Cornerback Rod Woodson looked old and had an extremely tough game. Rookie Duane Starks couldn't get off the blocks and safety Ralph Staten couldn't find the right pursuit angles if he had a map. Safety Corey Harris was slow in helping to support the cornerbacks on passes. -- F
Special teams
Matt Stover had a field goal blocked and the Ravens gave up big yardage on a kickoff return, but for the most part the units were sound, particularly on kickoff returns. -- C+
