Imagination takes the audience to an archaeological dig at a tel (hill) in the Mideast when Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo Park presents the play "Dig 'N Tel," Saturday through Dec. 31 in honor of Israel's 50th anniversary. With a blast of the shofar, camel bells and a Hebraic tune, members of the expedition are transformed into sailors and kings, fools and the wind, as they weave stories about each of their discoveries - all drawn from exotic legends and folk tales, rich in Jewish wisdom and humor.
The theater is at 7300 MacArthur Blvd. in Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo. Performances are 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday and 11 a.m. weekdays; closed Dec. 25. Admission is $5. The production is recommended for ages 4 and up. Reservations are suggested. Call 301-320-5331.
