Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: Burglars entered an apartment in the 3600 block of Mount Ida Drive and stole a television and appliances Tuesday.

Harper's Choice: A man approached a woman as she was removing flowers from her car and grabbed her purse about 6: 45 p.m. Tuesday in the 5600 block of Freshaire Lane. The man and the woman struggled, the purse strap broke and the assailant fled.

Hickory Ridge: A girl returned home from school Tuesday afternoon and found the front door to her home in the 11300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway open. Nothing was taken.

Savage: Burglars entered a just-finished home and stole three appliances between Saturday and Tuesday.
