New Windsor Middle School will present $1,373 to the Carroll County state's attorney's domestic violence unit at an assembly this morning.

Students raised most of the money during a two-week campaign against domestic violence, said teacher Kathy Berry. Businesses and others also donated.

In return, the state's attorney's office will present the school with a plaque for its efforts in the fight against domestic violence.

Berry said her goal for the campaign was $1,000.

Union Bridge: Firefighters assisted Frederick County at 12: 05 TTC p.m. Monday, responding to a barn fire on Fountain School Road. Units were out two hours and 20 minutes.
