Running backs

Halfback Priest Holmes fumbled twice, dropped a pass and was benched for Errict Rhett, who gave the team some energy when he got in the game. Holmes needs to be more consistent if he's to be the team's runner of the future.-- D-

Jim Harbaugh fumbled a snap and later threw into double coverage on an interception. He warmed up with the rest of the offense late in the third quarter, but by that time the damage had been done. -- C-

Floyd Turner had a superb game and has picked up the slack in Jermaine Lewis' absence, but the Ravens need a threat on the other side. Tight end Eric Green's fumble led to Minnesota points and he looks gun shy about falling on the ball since his lung injury earlier this season. -- B-

Offensive linemen

Overshadowed by the turnovers on offense, this patchwork group played well, especially tackles James Atkins and Spencer Folau, who substituted for Jonathan Ogden and Orlando Brown. -- B+

Defensive linemen

Despite the score, this unit played well and hard. All four linemen, tackles Tony Siragusa and James Jones and ends Michael McCrary and Rob Burnett, played with intensity, but they grew weary be being on the field way too long. -- C+

Middle linebacker Ray Lewis led all tacklers with 15 and was great against the run. Strong-side linebacker Peter Boulware also played the run well and had a lot of hurries against the pass, but Minnesota just had too many opportunities for big plays. -- B

Defensive backs

Cornerbacks DeRon Jenkins, Rod Woodson and Duane Starks played better than expected, but with the turnovers, it was impossible for them to stop Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Co. -- C

Special teams

The Ravens scored on two kickoff returns, but also gave up one. Kyle Richardson improved on his punting from a week ago, averaging 46.5 yards on two punts. The units also didn't allow any punt-return yards. -- C+
