Tip of the week

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Before measuring syrupy sweeteners such as honey and corn syrup, lightly coat the measuring cup or spoon with vegetable oil. Every drop of the syrup will easily slip out. The same result can be obtained if you measure the fat called for in a recipe and then use the same (unwashed) utensil as the measure for the sweetener.
