HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Doug Smith got Florida off to a fast start and the ThunderCats went on to beat the Blast, 6-2, last night.
Smith scored a two-point goal just 1: 03 into the game and Marcelo Fontana extended the ThunderCats' lead to 4-0, 25 seconds into the second quarter.
Franklin McIntosh tallied the Blast's only goal at the 10: 06 mark of the second quarter to cut the ThunderCats' lead to 4-2.
Two fourth-period goals 1: 21 apart, from Jean Harbor and Paul McDonnell, put the game out of reach for the Blast (3-7).
