Lockout at a glance

THE BALTIMORE SUN

NBA games lost yesterday: 6.

Total games missed: 264.

Earliest estimated date season can start: Jan. 15.

Projected player salary losses (through Jan. 15): $430 million.

Negotiations: Nothing scheduled.

Exhibition: Facing bad publicity and long odds of selling the event, organizers of an exhibition game Dec. 19 in Atlantic City, N.J., featuring locked-out NBA players changed plans yesterday and decided to give all proceeds to charity. Originally, some proceeds were going to go to needy players. The organizers also lowered the top ticket price from $1,000 to $500.

Today's best canceled game: Detroit at Seattle. If anybody can stop Grant Hill from driving to the basket, it's Gary Payton. He would have had a chance in this nationally televised game.
