An Elkridge bicyclist who was critically injured when he was struck by a vehicle last week on U.S. 1 has died, Howard County police said.

Nick J. Prieto, 41, of the 6600 block of Washington Blvd. was struck by a Jeep Wrangler on Dec. 2 near Business Parkway in Jessup.

He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he died Friday of his injuries, police said.

nTC The driver of the Wrangler, Jeffrey L. Morris, 40, of the 100 block of Keeton Road in Elkridge, was not injured.

Police are investigating.
