CHRIST THE SERVANT Lutheran Church of Severn will
present "Christmas in a Barn," a living Nativity scene, at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Shipley Barn, off Wigley Avenue in Jessup.
Members of the church will play the roles of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and the wise men as others read the Christmas story and sing familiar carols.
Those in the audience are invited to join the production by dressing as one of the characters.
Hot drinks will be provided throughout the presentation.
An offering will be taken to support VESTA, a halfway house for patients from Crownsville Hospital Center who are returning to the community.
The men's group from Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church in Crofton will tour the National Security Administration Cryptographic Museum at Fort Meade at 9: 30 a.m. Saturday.
Jack Ingham, curator of the museum, will join the group for breakfast before the tour.
In the afternoon, kindergartners through fifth-graders at Prince of Peace will have a chance to make gifts for family and friends at a Christmas crafts workshop from 1: 30 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m.
More than half of the 294 students who participated in fall sports at Arundel High School have been rewarded for their work in the classroom.
Ninety-three students received Minds in Motions Awards, given to those who maintain a grade point average of 3.25 or better -- out of a possible 4.0 -- while participating in a sport. And 22 of those students carried a 4.0.
Forty-five students received Scholar Athlete Awards for earning a 3.0 or better while participating in a school sport.
School craft fair

Visit the Winter Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Arundel High School, sponsored by the schools' Key Club.
The Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the McGill Community Activity Center on Zimborski Avenue on Fort Meade.
The performance is free and open to the public.
