Comcast appoints Bugle advertising director

Comcast Cablevision, based in White Marsh, has appointed Robert S. Bugle area director of advertising for the Baltimore metropolitan region. He will oversee sales teams as well as develop new business and sales strategies. He formerly was a new business and special projects manager for Pittsburgh-based TCI Media Services.

InfoVista names Wiehler corporate marketing chief

InfoVista Corp. named Ronn Wiehler director of corporate marketing for the Columbia-based information technology firm. He will define and implement the firm's worldwide marketing strategy. He formerly was director of marketing for InterCAP Graphics Systems.


Hellmann, Jackson, Anderson advance at Marks Associates

John Marks Associates appointed Barbara Ann Hellmann vice president, director of media services; Susan E. Jackson as associate media director and Jeffrey J. Anderson as a media specialist for the Mount Washington-based advertising and event management firm.

Hellmann, a former vice president of the Reeves Agency, is a graduate of Immaculata College and is an MBA candidate at Pace University. Jackson, who rejoined the agency in 1993 after a stint with Alex. Brown & Sons, will provide strategic marketing, budgetary and post-buy analysis for agency accounts. Anderson, with the agency since 1996, was formerly with Marriott Management Services. He is a graduate of St. Michael's College.

Trahan Burden & Charles hired Marcene Wood as an account supervisor for the Baltimore-based agency. She will have responsibility for strategic planning and management of direct marketing programs for agency clients. The DePaul University MBA graduate recently moved to the mid-Atlantic area from Chicago.

Mason-Dixon Bancshares names Lynch VP, manager

Mason-Dixon Bancshares Inc. named Becky S. Lynch vice president and manager of its retail investment group. The former Union National Bank assistant vice president will be responsible for development of customer investment programs of two Mason-Dixon subsidiaries, Carroll County Bank and Trust, and the Bank of Maryland.

A registered investment adviser, the Virginia Tech graduate taught in the MBA program of Georgia College. She is a Carroll County resident and a member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary International and is active with the Carroll County 4-H Club.

Walters, Di Maggio take posts with Kelly

Kelly & Associates Insurance Group Inc. appointed Sanford K. Walters as executive vice president of Kelly Benefits Strategies and Joseph G. Di Maggio Jr. as senior account manager at its Hunt Valley headquarters.

Walters, a co-founder and former president of Corporate Healthcare Financing Inc., will be responsible for the direct sales and consulting division. A University of Baltimore MBA graduate, Walters was an infantry officer in Vietnam. Di Maggio will provide broker consulting services to current accounts. He formerly was an account executive with Crawford, Slevin & Hicks Inc. and holds graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Western Maryland College.

McCormack is member of Gordon, Feinblatt

Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander admitted Timothy F. McCormack to the Baltimore-based law firm as a member.

Assigned to the litigation department, he will focus on creditors' rights, employment and banking litigation. A law graduate of the University of Michigan, the Ellicott City resident was previously with Shapiro & Olander, P.A.
