U.S. and state release list of those owed refunds

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The Internal Revenue Service and the Maryland State Comptroller's Office are seeking Carroll County residents whose tax refund checks were undeliverable this year.

The IRS has more than 15,000 checks and the state more than 1,800 refunds that remain unclaimed.

Anyone expecting a 1997 or earlier refund is urged to check with both offices. The IRS can be called at 800-829-1040 and the state at 800-MD-TAXES.

These individuals have federal refunds waiting to be claimed: Eldersburg: William G. Jr. and Denise Oneill Heird.

Finksburg: Timothy Pugh.

Hampstead: Terry E. Hale, Dortha J. Hensil, William Hulback, Reynaldo P. and Mary G. Madrinan, Terry Stocksdale.

Manchester: Craig A. Fisher.

Marriottsville: Ronald L. Groves.

Mount Airy: Corrine B. Watkins.

Taneytown: Angela D. Topper.

Westminster: Christy N. Belme, Terry E. Musser, Michael Terry, William Vaartjes, Gabriele Weeks.

The following individuals have state refunds waiting to be claimed:

Finksburg: Catherine M. Heinemann.

Hampstead: Calvin D. Hamilton Jr., Joseph K. Morley.

Mount Airy: Jesse Haney.

Sykesville: Timothy J. and Cassandra A. Aitken, Robert B. Gilbert, Michael H. Sylvan.

Taneytown: Jason G. Kuyawa.

Union Bridge: Chauteau C. Adams, Terry Davis.
