Two men rob Ellicott City Wendy's of cash, attack restaurant's manager

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed an Ellicott City fast-food restaurant Tuesday night, Howard County police said.

About 9: 40 p.m., two men wearing baggy clothes and dark masks entered the Wendy's in the 9100 block of Old Annapolis Road and walked behind the counter, police said.

One man displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the registers, police said.

The men took cash, hit the store manager with a gun, jumped the counters and fled, police said. The robbers were seen driving away in a blue or black four-wheel-drive truck.

The manager was injured but declined treatment, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Steve Lampe at 410-313-4612.
