Seneca Valley wins 4A state title, 7-6

COLLEGE PARK -- Fredy Del Villar's interception with a minute to play secured defending champion Seneca Valley's 7-6 win over Suitland of Prince George's County in the Class 4A state title game at Byrd Stadium last night.

Seneca Valley of Montgomery County led, 7-0, with 9: 06 left in the first half after Curtis Kimmons' 7-yard interception return for a touchdown and Lavar Scott's PAT. Suitland scored with 1: 07 left in the third quarter on Isiah Long's 9-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Moten, but Long's run for the two-point conversion was unsuccessful.
