Columbia man, 70, hit by car while riding bicycle His condition is critical; police are investigating

A 70-year-old Columbia man was in critical condition at Prince George's Hospital Center yesterday, a day after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle on Route 32.

According to Howard County police, Han Xiang Liu was crossing Route 32 near Broken Land Parkway about 6 p.m. Tuesday when a Honda driven by a Silver Spring man hit him.

Liu flipped onto the hood of the automobile and then fell to the ground.

The driver of the Honda, Nelson Obdulio Reyes, 25, was not injured.

Pfc. George Williams is investigating the accident.
